Funny how they keep hiring cacs :mjpls:

NCAA is a joke

Until we start letting 16-18 year olds play real soccer at the pro level we'll never match Europe

Imagine if ronaldo didnt start playing pro soccer until he was 21 :bryan:

Actually there is a very large # of 15-18 year old kids who are playing professional soccer in the USA. Most of them are not playing on an MLS team, but playing on the MLS 2nd division USL teams.

Yes, the USA is behind in young players development, but the growth over the last decade has actually been immense. The best high school players are now not allowed to play for their high school teams and are joining academies where they play year round. Some of the academy players are playing up 2-3 age groups and are even training with MLS teams. The best young teenage players are finally skipping college and signing professional contracts at 15-17 years old.

I try and follow the the Seattle Sounders youth players. The Sounders USL team has 7 players playing actual games who are 16-17 years old. I believe they lead all of the USL in minutes played by kids under 18. LA Galaxy also has a very strong youth system that includes the likes of Alex Mendez, Ulysses Llanez, Efrain Alvarez.

Coaching is one of the biggest weaknesses in this country. We need more quality coaches teaching our youth and we need pay to play to disappear.

These motherfukkers really have the nerve huh?!

To set up an epic final at the Bernabeu?!
Boca is so fukking corrupt its disgusting, even River are getting a taste of it, we (Cruzeiro) did as well with that Dede sending off against Boca in the quarters.

And now the final at the Bernabeu. What they should really do is disqualify the first leg result and make it a winner take all final.

They calling it Copa Conquistadores now on twitter. :dead:
And I don't see why they went away from the plan to play at Defensores del Chaco. :mjlol: Or just dump them in an empty stadium somewhere and finish this charade. :mjlol:

no one makes any money in MLS either :ohhh:

Only when they bring in new teams...

Cost Toronto FC $10 million to get an MLS franchise back in 2005. In 2018 it costs $150 million to get a franchise. Not all MLS teams are making money, but I'd think teams like ATL United, Portland Timbers and Seattle Sounders with passionate fans and sold out stadiums are turning a profit.

As for the Greg Berhalter hiring as a head coach. It seems uninspired. Especially when we had all the time in the world to be scouring for the best coach we could get. Not to say Berhalter can't be a good coach, but would have preferred someone different. Also seems fishy that Greg was hired when his brother is chief commercial officer for the USSF.

Why is this bad?

It’s the CONEMBOL Libertadores (Confederación Sudamericana de Fútbol) ..which means its gotta be a south american thing. The confederation is just trying to hold an EPIC final to get the world to watch it and hope their product sells as good as the CL does.

Who would ever imagine a Boca Juniors x River Plate final at the Bernabeu.

:stopitslime:

The Argentinins are in bed with the Paraguayans and the Conmebol HQ is in Paraguay, but we know who truly rules shyt over there. Argentina and their league and teams are so deep in debt that their literally killing each other to win the cup in order to get a little clout and money, to then go to the Club World Cup in December and face last years CL champs.

To be honest, if it was any other team, say a brazilian one (cuz we are in almost every final tbh) that had caused chaos against a Boca or River prior to the second leg, that team would’ve been banned for years and they would’ve given the other team the title

This reminds me of when Mexican teams were starting to look like a threat to finally win, they came up with the rule that the 2nd leg had to be hosted in South America, a rule that easily benefited River Plate in the final that they won. Same year they got Boca disqualified in the Round of 16. :mjlol:
