I've always felt Madrid's midfield wasn't as good as it seemed to be on paper. They seem to lack creativity at the position. They could use Pogba.

Any midfield could use pogba. He's super talented but I stand by original statement that madrid don't need him. They are stacked. Pogba is CDM. Kroos and Modric are two main CDMs at the moment with Illra casemrio, danilo and Kovavic in the fold as well. With Rafa likely to employ a two pivot midfield in a 4-2-3-1 there's just no real room for him. You would be relegating a world class talent to the bench in some capacity. Madrid's midfield issues last season were related to injuries. Modric, the magician, was injured for much of the season. Khedira also couldn't stay healthy. If u remember, Sergio Ramos, at one point, was playing DM because of the injuries and younger guys, like casemiro, being loaned out. Pogba isn't needed. I think he stays at Juve this year anyway. No way they sell him and vidal in the same transfer window.

Madrid is pretty stacked in the midfield.

Modric, casemiro, illra, Lucas silva, just bought kovavic from inter, kroos and then u james, bale, isco who play more advanced roles. Madrid really needs a deep lying playmaker and I don't think pogba, realistically, fits that role

I'm not disagreeing with what you posted. But you don't think he could displace at least a couple of players in their midfield (Lucas Silva, Modric, Casemiro)?

EDIT: just read your last post

Yea that was my guy when he was at Arsenal, i didnt want him to go:mjcry:. Hes the captain at Hamburg now so I'm happy hes doing well. Hamburg isnt that good of a team so I hope they don't go down:sadcam:

Yeah, he definitely wasn't our best defender but dude was a Swiss army knife for us. He could play CB, WB, and even CDM. Wenger could use that utility in the squad.

I expect illara(benitez isnt a big fan of him) and lucas silva by the end of this window. But madrid can play kovavic in that deep lying play making role even though he struggled at inter his pinpoint passing amazing.

Pogba is not a CDM :dead:. Hes a attacking midfielder if anything
He is the farthest things from a CDM
Busquets, Matic, Scheinderlin are CDMs

Barca got really lucky last year with injures. Most of the teams they ran through had significant injuries.
Now without Neymar they go from unbeatable to very good

He may play a more advanced role this season because vidal is gone but he's not an attacking midfielder. This isnt to say that his offensive prowess hasn't improved greatly. However, he hasn't played that role for juventus, vidal, or France, valbuena. We can argue semantics all day. The fact is pogba is a complete midfielder who is as adept going forward as he playing in front of the defense and shielding them in DM role. In regards to him going to madrid, he would be playing a cdm role where kroos or modric would be.

Here is an article about Chelsea's pursuit of pogba. Mou wants him as DEFENSIVE MIDFIELDER

In practical terms, Allegri already has Pogba's replacement in the form of Sami Khedira. (Whats is sami khedria? Thats right a DM.) And we know how highly he regards Stefano Sturaro. If Beppe Marotta can force Chelsea to part with Oscar in negotiations, he'll also get that elusive No10 he's been seeking. And this is all before returning to the market with over €95 million burning in his pocket.

Plus, given the circumstances of Pogba's defection from United, such a record sale also means virtually pure profit for Juve - which will go down well with the club's financial backers.

At Chelsea, Pogba would arrive as a direct threat to Nemanja Matic (defensive midfielder) - and probably spell the end of John Obi Mikel's Stamford Bridge career.

For much of last season, Matic was celebrated as among the best holding midfielders in the game. But his performance in the early weeks of this campaign has shown a real lethargy. There's talk inside Cobham that the Serb has become complacent. He's Mourinho's clear No1 in terms of defensive midfield and the lack of competition has dulled his game.

That'll change with Pogba's arrival - who would also put Cesc Fabregas on notice. It's why Mourinho is happy for Abramovich to throw the bank at Juve to get this deal done. The Frenchman can play in a defensive role, but also further forward. His arrival will rock Chelsea's opposition at home and across Europe. But also rattle a few 'too comfortable' cages at home.

Ppl talking about Pogba like he is just a run of the mill defensive midfielder :mjlol: CDM CM (to much fifa) He is truly a box to box Mid. (he can stop the opposite teams attacks he can create attacks, he can score ) He can play everywhere in the midfield. Thats why he is so expensive. Not to mention he is young....i think he will stick another year in itally and then go to Spain. I mean these players want to win the UCL .
Juve already lost vidal and tevez, i dont think they will sell him this year

Almost forgot... Draw against Gijon :russ:

I clearly state that pogba is a complete midfielder who is as adept going forward as he is shielding the D. Chelsea want him as a CDM, this is a known fact, and he would play the same spot at Real. What's so hard to understand?

The last sentence of my last post says, 'dude can play anywhere but don't act as if CDM hasnt been his listed position.'

Coli dudes and their reading comprehension

Wenger should stop flirting with the idea of getting Benzema and instead make a move for Pogba. Signing Pogba would be better for the team than getting a striker. Arsenal have no problem scoring goals. We do however find ourselves liable to lose battles in the midfield which end up compromising our defense and ultimately conceding goals.

Yeah, it's a pipe dream but I think we would do better if we made a bid of £50M to Juventus and test their resolve.
