Last year yeah, but when he was bought two years ago you didn't need him when you had just bought Schlurre. Obv he didn't work out and Willian. But still.
Chelsea's problem is that teams can focus on shutting down Cesc and Hazard and they are good. Willian for all his qualities lacks the goals and assists so everyone just double teams Hazard. Pedro will give them a different aspect to their game, if he can get in good positions they will have someone else to share the scoring burden that falls on a few players. Obviously he is not good enough these days for a Barca/Real/Bayern side but I can see why Chelsea had to go for him. If Costa's hamstring acts up they are down to Falcao and Remy who is not played that much.
