But still man, a club of our stature waiting until the last minute for something this important. Especially with management and the whole world knowing the situation the club is in.

From the rumours I'm hearing, he can leave if he wants too, and a player like Olmo isn't gonna be okay sitting for 8 months.

When Laporta messed up with Messi, I didn't wanna see the forest for the trees but this is really telling. I know I'm overreacting, but I don't see how any proper players come to Barca in the future especially while Laporta's in power.

It’s precisely because of the stature of the club that it can do all of this nonsense. It‘s crazy that it has got so messed up that the club has actually done it, though.

i know that the trouble at United is a little different, but players will always gravitate toward that club no matter the fukkery. As long as the mega-clubs are in the top division they they’ll always attract top players.

i get the frustration, though. It’s fukking maddening watching a situation unfold which, really, was pretty needless and self-inflicted.

He got potential to be in a top club like his brother? or at least a top league in any of the big european counties

You’d think that he would have been picked up by one of the PL clubs, at least the major ones, by now if he was going to reach anywhere near the heights of Jude, even if it were to have him in the reserves / youth sides. There are obviously exceptions, but it imagine it’s really rare that any have hit Jude B’s level.

Seems a fair amount of interest in him, so good luck to the guy. I just hope he doesn’t go somewhere that doesn’t play him, especially now that he’s getting good minutes in the Champo.

Easy. Don't know what his best position will be. He's playing double 6 at the moment with licence to roam. So probably a #8 long term. He's basically a clone of big bro.

I don't think you understand just how involved the parents I.e the father is in all this. The Parents are very tactical with their boys careers. They arent going to pimp them out to the club who shows them the biggest bag of cash. They said no to Juve regarding Jude because they wanted him to play at academy level first. The parents were like No that doesn't work for us.

He's at Sunderland because he's guaranteed to develop and the best environment for him at this moment in time. And the championship is a good development league. Look at Gyokeres went from Coventry to Sporting. Half of the England squad came up through in the Championship either from their parent clubs or on loan. Also Mike Dodds who is the one who made up the #22 for Jude while coaching him at youth team with Birmingham also works for Sunderland.

I have heard that at various times about the father, but more so in relation to Jude. I think it’s one of the reasons why the Liverpool fans were so convinced that he was going there as the dad apparently is a supporter and, as you say, a massive influence.

I’d imagine that he’s on the path that he’s on, Jobe, that is, due to him Not quite being good enough to be at the top level and games being far more beneficial than trying to stand out in an academy. It’s a smart plan, and good luck to the kid. Can’t remember where he was before Sunderland; maybe Brum with Jude?

I thought that Gyokeres was pretty average when I watched him on loan at Swansea, and the Brighton fans seem stunned that he is what he is now. If he comes back to the PL then it would be good to see him to well. He’s obviously worked to get to what he is now,

Don’t know about half the England squad being Champo players who’ve worked their way up. I’d venture that the majority would be PL academy players who maybe have done a loan stint or been sold early in their careers.

Whichever way, I’d still imagine that Jobe would be one of the bigger clubs if he were bound for the top, the wages on offer to some of the young players at the top clubs in England is fukking mental, and I’d imagine Juve would be far below anything on offer here. Just look at what Chido got to move to United. Crazy money!

And Gerrard was Judes fave player growing up.

Yeah was at Birmingham. Tbh I don't think it's that he's not good enough to be at the top level. I think it's more to keep him out of the spotlight and let him develop. Like I said Mike Dodds is basically a family friend to the Bellingham's at this point the fact that he works for Sunderland also makes the Bellingham's feel like Jobe is being looked after.

Brighton fans are stunned because they missed out on a another big payday. Lol. You just cannot tell when someone is going to get it. Look at someone like Vardy went from conference Premier to the Championship looked OK in the Championship and struggled in the first year in the PL and since then could be considered a PL great/legend.

Saves me writing out the names.

He's only 19 doesn't need to be at a top club yet. What top club is he going to play regularly for at the moment? Spurs are playing Archie Gray everywhere but his actual position and I don't see much between Archie and Jobe tbh.

Top, top, posting, as Jamie Redknapp would put it.

The only thing I’d say is that the BBC article, and I did not read it fully, seems to miss that a lot of these players, take Guehi for example, were transfers from big academies. Liverpool & City have a ton of ex-cademy players who have left them and are now in the England squad.

I’m trying not to seem as if I’m being contrary for the sake of it, nor pedantic unnecessarily, but, without the start at the major academy, and the foundations that gives to these lads, I’m sure many of the, would now be in very different careers.

I wish more young players would take the Championship route, or even lesser league abroad. Not all of them can be superstars, internationals, or even have long careers in the PL, so I’d think there comes a point where actually playing competitive matches would be more beneficial.

Ian Wright was another who came up from non-league. I think Palace was his first professional club, and then to Arsenal. He was fukking brilliant, definite PL legend to me, but shame about the international game never really going for him. I was fukking gutted how it ended at Arsenal. A real blot on our fans, although Wrighty, from memory played his part too.

@Mané Swagincha @THEREALBRAND thoughts? Considering you guys are on different sides?........ I don't see anybody on Cruzeiro who could provide the service that Ganso and Arias provided to Cano in the Dinizsmo setup. Peireira ain't that sort of player and Gabigol cannot create his own chances.

MP10 is exactly that player, he’s the classic number 10, we need Matheus Henrique to play alongside him and we’re going to give all the titles a running ..just need to close on that young argentinian centerback…we really need a right winger as well..but yea Dudu, Gabigol, Bolasie, Kaio Jorge, we’re alright up top.
