Napoli :jbhmm: Could Conte actually….

@trap101-ETHout-Allegri-In I said this would the stretch of games that would define Torino’s good start. Stumbled at the first test.
:whoa:We'll See, We'll See.......I didn't watch the match cause it was too early even for the east coast. But the scoreline looked like it was intense. I'm going to watch teh highlights now. Napoli got the tools so I don't see why not. He's been sticking with mostly the traditional starters too. The fact Neres is only coming in off the bench means they are going to be dangerous. Their bench is pretty strong too. It will probably be them, Inter, and maybe Juve........I'm not sold on Juve yet though.

I still can't believe United didn't sack Ten Hag after last season.
I was fine with keeping him on. I'm really not a fan of calling for managers to be sacked. I felt he had begun to turn a corner with the FA Cup win. Of course now in retrospect I was probably too high off the fact of beating the "115*". I was thinking "Ok, he has figured out how to out-manage Pep with lesser resources, maybe we have something here...". I was also really enthusiastic about him coming. I thought we got somebody on the up and up ready to take the next step up, etc. But now three seasons later.....no clear plan, just flat most of the time, poor match management. I can't even pin it on just him.....there really has been a culture shift from the "glory days". It sounds all nebulous and esoteric, but we don't have that "nastiness" needed to win. Watching Arsenal the last few weeks they are reminding me of the "fire" we had in the good old days. We have absolutely none of that. Holding up Rashford and Bruno as our demi-gods doesn't help either. That doesn't mean I don't rate them. Both of them are good players. Good squad players. If comparing them to the teams of the past I would equate them to a Park-Ji Sung, Nani, Darren Fletcher level of player.....Good and solid, but not the ones to take you to the glory land.....yet here we are.....Could write a thesis on this since I've been watching United for 30+ years now :flabbynsick: , but I'll stop there. I knew after Fergie stepped down that those days would never come back, but I did expect a better semblence of competitiveness by this time......:mjcry:

like countries post dictators thats usually what happens, same with clubs. Dictators can be very good while there in power like Fergie, but it is like flipping a coin if the strongman will be good or not and if not then the consequenses are catastrophical and the erosion of the checks and balances on power is almost always a bad thing in the long run anyway post-dictator even if he is very good while at the helm. There is no SAF to steer the ship and the club as a whole is in a terrible state, and that is part of his legacy tbh
