My point is the talent is there because there was a longstanding cycling history in Eritrea relative to anywhere else Africa. No doubt those dudes should get their flowers because the financial support is limited for a lot of cyclists in Africa.I talking the talent and results is being recognized. Like Daniel Teklehaimanot wearing the king of the mountains jersey in Le Tour and Biniam Girmay winning silver in the World u23 this year.
I figured this must be the angle, deserved Mali win they should have just came out but they knew they weren’t getting shytSo Tunisia are trying to get the whole match replayed.
They’ve been lively from the startVery nice Barrow finishGambia impressing me
Algeria and Morocco do have an arm's race going on. So they might be in a lab cooking up ballers to just to compete/outdo one another![]()
Smaller population and smaller diaspora than the Moroccans or Algerians. Majority of both of the latter squads are born in France (or Netherlands/Belgium for Moroccans) while Tunisia usually has more guys guys born in country and from their domestic league. The domestic league part helped their cohesion in past, similar to Egyptians, and Espérance especially usually good in CL. But never enough against more talented comp.
Agreed, the red was a littleLet's keep it a buck, if you really look at that scenario, that mistake looks to be one of time-keeping. Match corruption/fixing in that Mali-Tunisia game seems thin to me. This error seems like the ref just dropped the ball something serious.
Agreed, the red was a littlebut I think overall it was just incompetence rather than anything sinister, still he probably shouldn’t be anywhere near the tourney given his history

With Vic anything is possibleI really think this is the year that African teams need to make a splash in the WC. Like 3 nations in the QF and at least 1 in the SF. AFCON is in Jan, WC is in December, the teams should have more cohesion.
I've really only been watching football since a kid in the early 2000s but from what I can see, this is definitely a golden era of African talent when we look at the clubs some of these guys are playing in and the roles they have on the squad.
Nigeria, Cameroon and Algeria have enough to make a deep run in the WC.
