After that first half just looking at the Egypt squad it's majority Egypt based players. I just don't see how they'll be able to compete with the other powerhouse nations. With Algeria Morocco and the West African nations getting the European born and based players repping the country of their parents/grandparents nowadays. The advantage in quality Egypt have in club football doesn't really translate to the international stage.

On a different night with better decision making and touches we’d be at least 2-3 up. First game, 3pts against a heavyweight with some good attacking play. We should have been more clinical but a great start.
