Already established internationals far different from a non cap player making their debut after 30. He was called up early on in Waistcoats reign 17-18 but withdrew. How many 30+ year old players have made their debuts for France Germany Italy Spain Brasil Holland etc recently?
Sterling and Harolds are Waistcoats favourites. Club form doesnt matter no one is getting picked over those 2 unless their international form dries up completely or injuries. There is only 1 place in attack for about 10 players as it is.
I think you really need to check his availability record especially over the last 5 years because he has been unavailable quite a lot and theyve often coincided with the international window.
Danny Ings who has scored 13 more goals than Antonio has since 19/20 barely gets called up.. The one time he did get called up recently was only because of injuries and hasnt been seen since. DCL has scored more goals than Antonio has over the same period. Whats the point of Antonio getting called up to get about 5 caps for about 60 mins worth of football? He deserves better than that.
