And I said this would happen. Sooner or later with the crazy calendar the players will crash.

Liverpool's luck has finally ran out. Apart from the Matip, Gomez and Ox who are injury prone and always going to get a mischief somewhere down the line. Liverpool's run over the last 3 seasons, they didn't have any key injuries for sustained periods.

Also there's the Klopp players burn out. Most Liverpool fans will blame the condensed calendar. But those of us seen how Dortmund slowly started to come undone after 3 strong years of 2 league titles and a CL final. This does look like a familiar story tbh. And it's no surprise high intensity teams have a short shelf life of 3-4 years, before they crack.

Dutch team took an L, losing him.

When Van Basten labelled him an idiot for rejecting Holland having already been called up, Ziyech, 27, was not going to take it lightly.

At the time, he said: “Van-Bassten is a good name but not a top-level coach. If you know people or have a big name, you will always get back to work. Quality counts with me.”

He don't play that shyt:wow:

Kante and pogba got a long undefeated streak playing together

Pogba looking decent with Kante doing the work of two men :whoo:

Even tho I find him a negative coach style wise. Deschamps 4231/442/4411/433 is very well executed when everyone is on their game. Very fluid, when he has the right personnel.

Is that not the best approach at international level? Solid base and then let the forward line win it.

Hard to develop a style of play / build relationships in the limited time these international teams get.

This is the best I've seen France play in some time vs a proper team. :ehh:
the 433 was always the way to go

get Griezman the fukk out of the midfield. I don't care if he starts or not.. just keep him out that midfield. Pogba and Kante was always the winning formula, but they needed a third midfield that can somewhat penetrate(Aouar, Ndombele, Rabiot). Yesterdays team was probably his best 11x. I'd replace the wingers with Mbappe/Dembs though

Most of the French squad have played together thru the various youth teams and won the u20 world cup. They know each other

With the level of talent he has to pick from? Nah, it's an outright crime. He basically has a billion pound transfer funds on FIFA. It's fine to be cautious vs a Belgium but vs some of these other teams are :russell:

Deschamps has generally been negative throughout his coaching career. The only team that I enjoyed watching of his was Monaco and in Deschamps fashion they shyt the bed in their biggest game. If you remember at the group stages of Euro 16. France looks very ordinary, lucked up on 4411 with Griezmann and Giroud having chemistry. And let's not forget France's best midfielder in those Knockouts was Mo Sissoko.

That game vs Denmark in the world cup, is one of the worse games of football I've seen.

It's the left wide/side midfielder that seems to be the key to make it work. If he doesn't do his function, then it doesn't work. Having a player who can play wide defensively to push it to a 442 and then come inside centrally and allowing the FB to overlap when attacking opens up everything.

The media in this country continually show their ass. Not a surprise obviously but still disgusting.

Bunch of idiots in the comments section of the article. :hhh:

His good intentions were only ever smoke and mirrors - and only the idiotic in our society believed otherwise..

.How very noble of this Marxist to become a landlord for the peasants. You couldn't make up this kind of hypocrisy.

Ah, the politician I never voted for and could provide free meals to entire communities with a fraction of his salary instead of forcing a government uturn through trial by media whereby my taxes pay for the kids other people chose to have but won't provide for..
