What's getting lost in all United fukkery is how badly ETH set up the team yesterday.

yeah ETH has to learn to be more pragmatic. like how in his first season Tuchel didn't have the players he wanted to play the football he wanted, but even then made sure that Chelsea first and foremost were hard to beat.

it seems to me that ETH is a style "perfectionist" and wants the players to play the style that he thinks is best.

with all this bearing in mind that even his "ideal style team" ajax would find life hard in the EPL.

ETH has to take the lessons on board and to do so fast if he is going to prosper at MU.

Eriksen false nine, Fred as a 6 and then McTominay pushing up a lot (almost a second striker on occasion). Basically leaving Fred as a lone midfielder.

Has playing a random player, that's not a generational talent, as a false nine ever worked? Especially recently when the concept of a fasle nine is no longer a novelty.

If you are to judge by the reaction of the fans, Martin Braithwaite is not a popular man at FC Barcelona.

On Sunday evening, FC Barcelona played a match against Mexican Pumas in the annual showdown before the start of LaLiga, called the Juan Gamper Trophy. Before the game, all the Barcelona players ran onto the field one by one.

Most were met with great applause - especially the newly acquired players such as Robert Lewandowski, Raphina and Andreas Christensen. But when it was the Danish striker's turn, he was greeted by a loud chorus of whistles.

He had a smile on his face as he started his entrance. However, it quickly disappeared.

It's no secret that Braithwaite looks like a finished man at Barcelona.

The negativity at the stadium may have fertile ground in the fact that Barca - according to Spanish SPORT - wants to cancel the contract, so that the Dane leaves the club clean and free, as they already have major financial problems.

But Braithwaite wants full pay for the two years he has left on his deal - which he is also entitled to.

FC Barcelona president Joan Laporta, according to transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, should have said that Martin Braithwaite knows he has to find another place to play.

- Umtiti and Braithwaite? Both now understand that it is time to find another club.

Hope Braithwaite takes them to court. He probably got more money in the bank than Barca, thanks to all of his real estate deals in the states.

Yup. I thought ETH got everything wrong about the lineup. Doesnt inspire confidence at all.

United fans complaining about the Rabiot signing. You lot clearly haven’t yet come to terms with the kind of club you are presently :mjlol:

nothing wrong with rabiot (if we get another MF in). maximum 2 years + 1 opt at a reasonable wage.

rabiot is playing for juventus and is better than we have.

it's the insta-mob that have an issue with rabiot and that is because they don't remember the lessons of yorke, mane, irwin ... i.e. it is not about names it is about what a player can do.

i agree that "arnautovic" is :hhh: for all sorts of reasons.

if we get another MF (after rabiot), a right back (el cheapo like LB malaka) and an attacker of some sort it will be an ok-to-good window as long as the new players are comfortable on the ball, press resistant and better than what we have.

Linkes an actual 6, who starts for Argentina?

He's staying or going somewhere else... :mjlol:

Play up being pragmatic for two months only to have to overpay for everybody after the first loss :mjlol:

Juve was begging everyone to take Rabiot's contract off their hands, can you picture the reaction in their offices when United's number flashed on the phones :whew:

Same reaction when Shakhtar Donetsk had when we overpaid for Fred. :pachaha:

Or how Leicester found out Man Utd was stupid enough to pay 80m for Maguire, and used those funds for their new training facility. :bryan:

Anyone but McTominay isn't a high bar, but....:manny:
