AI shoot concert photography, produce & engineer..and networking has def led me to more places than I tought. When you go to showcases & "events" don't be scared to talk to others. You never know who that perrson might be or do. Example: went to a clothing line release, started talking to a dude..turns out he was a hennessy rep, got me a sponsorship for my next event.

Advice for my software developer (software consulting to be more exact) brethren:

Technology is considered horizontal, while fields (healthcare, law, banking, etc.) are each verticals. In software consulting, the more you know about a vertical, the more valuable you are. Don't get too hung up on specific languages.
