There's a couple old threads that are similar but they went inactive or off the rails.

'COMMANDO' 1985. I had seen this a very long time ago but didn't remember much about it. It's a ton of fun. The premise goes something like "Ex-Special Forces operative's daughter is kidnapped and members of his old crew are being picked off by a group of mercenaries so he goes on a rampage enacting revenge" and that's exactly what we get. Arnold is a fukking monster in this, steroid era in full force. The one liners and acting aren't quite up to speed yet but they're rounding into form. This shyt is just nonstop fukkery from the beginning. No breathers whatsoever Lol and I love them for it. My guy Bill Duke was out here puttin in serious work. They had to spend a pretty good amount on the budget for this one as they just roll from set piece to set piece leaving havoc and mayhem in it's wake. Easy thumbs up.

'UNSTOPPABLE' 2010. A runaway train movie starring Denzel Washington, Chris Pine and Rosario Dawson. I just fukking love everything Denzel does in this. He could sell water to a whale or a well, whichever. Look, he's been an engineer for 28 years and I believe every second of it. Denzel during the second stage of his career started playing a lot of these everyday man hero type roles and he kills it every single time. He's believable in whatever he does. He elevates the premise of the movie ten fold just by being the star. Tony Scott directs the hell out of this too. It really shouldn't be this spectacular but it is. They do everything right with the action set pieces, dialogue and tug at the heart strings. Great movie.

'Universal Soldier' 1992. Another one I've seen plenty of times but not in a minute. Quick, here goes the premise. "Soldiers who were killed in action are brought back to life in a top secret military experiment that creates superhuman warriors." If that doesn't pull you in, what will? This is Jean-Claude Van Damme and Dolph Lundgren at their very best. The acting is so over-the-top from Dolph Lundgren it's really hysterical. So yeah, these two go head to head in a futuristic action romp filled to the brim with fukkery from the very start. Must watch.

'Navy SEALs' 1990. This was obviously Orion Pictures and Hollywood in general still trying to make Charlie Sheen and Michael Biehn big action stars. The movie isn't all bad. You can appreciate that they spent a little money on stunts and trying to make the equipment and vehicles used legit but this doesn't quite work for me. The premise is a very generic terrorist plot and it suffers from some cringe 90's musical choices and banter from the leads. I will say there are a couple solid action sequences and there's a part in the middle of the movie where they do a solid job of tugging on the heart strings.

'Maximum Risk' 1996. Jean-Claude Van Damme is back with some more fukkery. This time he's a French Policemen attempting to track down his twin brother's (whom he had no idea existed) killer. It's pretty generic all things considered. There's a couple decent actions scenes and Natasha Henstridge is here to show her t*ts like every other movie she's in. Not complaining.

'Fury' 2014. This might be one of the most underrated movies of the last 10 years. War movie set in WWII follows a group of American soldiers who command a battle tank unit. It's raw as hell. The violence and the hopelessness in war are turned up to eleven. The cast is amazing. Stars Brad Pitt, Shia LaBeouf, Jon Bernthal, Michael Pena and Logan Lerman. It was written/directed by David Ayer and he was in his bag here. I hate that he's had to deal with so many bullshyt Hollywood execs over the years because it's weakened his output. This is probably his best movie.

'ANACONDA' 1997. There's some things I liked about this and things I didn't. The premise is pretty dope, giant anacondas wrecking havoc on a documentary film crew. You got Jennifer Lopez in her prime as some eye candy. I like the overall tone and vibes to it. But I feel like they wasted Ice Cube for much of the movie and the CGI has aged so poorly. It's so bad, it looks like the CGI was made with MS Paint or some shyt. Overall, it's still kinda fun.
