The problem isn't the black fighters, its multiple problemS
-Sanctioning bodies aren't doing their job
-Promoters aren't doing their job
-Boxing from top to bottom is messed meaning this game aint all about how good you are, its also who you know that can elevate your profile to the next level
-Too many sanctioning bodies.. WBO WBA WBC IBF (and IBO but lol at that one)... leads to the next problem of fighters not really fighting the best, cause imagine ive got one of those belts and my mandatory is a bum, thats an easy win for me and nobody can say shyt because technically speaking 'I aint duckin nobody
' Billy Joe Saunders been holding the WBO middleweight belt hostage for 2 years now
Adonis Stevenson has been holding the WBC and Lineal LHW belts hostage for 4 years now
-The fact that like I said its not about you just being the best its also about how much money you bring to the table, so basically if you are a mix of those two in the boxing world you are superior to any 'mandatory' set by these sanctioning bodies
All these boxers fighting these undefeated nobodies you're basically doing the equivalent of NBA stat padding

That article touches the aspect of boxing that I think every fan should agree is the major thing holding the sport back, the sanctioning bodies and promoters. They are corrupt and dont have the fighters or fans interests at heart.
To truly be more organized and connect with an even larger fan base boxing needs a universal governing body...but not in a way that financially rips off fighters like UFC. But if boxing had a universal language of fighter matchup, rankings, belts, etc. boxing would be unstoppable. Ratings, purses, and elite matchups would all go up. In the mean time we are stuck with what the TV networks, promoters, and sanctioning bodies "allow" to get through. Anymore it feels like to get a great matchup the fighters have to want it and do it themselves.
