Did you watch GGG vs Lemieux?

Did that fight look anything like the hype it was given to be a "shootout", "a war"?

Did it look like:

http://nypost.com/2015/08/21/why-golovkin-lemieux-has-hagler-hearns-potential/
Golovkin v Lemieux: Hearns v Hagler II?
Sanchez: GGG-Lemieux will be like Hagler-Hearns
Hopkins: GGG-Lemieux Could Be Longer Hagler-Hearns - Boxing News
Golovkin Looking to Emulate Hagler/Hearns vs. David Lemieux - Boxing News

:mjpls:

We expected a WAR and got a jabbing exhibition from GGG instead.

Canelo's offensive talent was so spectacular vs Chavez Jr, Abel Sanchez went from saying Canelo gets destroyed by GGG to saying it's now a 50/50 fight:mjpls:
Why are u going off the hype build up instead of the actual outcome?

Triple g put on a boxing clinic and finished him off.

If broner would have had that same performance against porter u would be calling it a masterpiece of performance.

Abel says a lot of things, but I'll let u cook.

Isnt the "hype build up" the reason we are interested in paying the extra $$$ to watch the fight on PPV?:jbhmm:

So, we can talk about how Floyd/Pacquiao didn't live up to the hype and was boring......but we cant say that about a fight that was vowed to us, by GGG himself, to be Hagler/Hearns-like because you're a GGG stan?:jbhmm:

:forreal:

Triple g put on a boxing clinic and finished him off.

Nobody wanted to see a jab fest from GGG....we wanted to see blood, guts, and action which is what they said to expect.

:forreal:

:russell: 1st off, Broner FIGHTS that way, so now...I wouldn't be alarmed to see him Molina someone.

2ndly, it's starting to reach the point where we may need an official "AB thread" since yall interject him randomly to any discussion:snoop:

Abel says a lot of things, but I'll let u cook.
And you believe him........except now that he's saying Canelo/GGG is a 50-50 fight huh?:jbhmm:

Don't let your bias be so open:sas2:

No.

I find it strange u think like that.

Some people thought it was going to be a war and some people thought it would be one sided and rightfully so they thought that way.. BUT there's times when one fighter is so good that he makes the other look ordinary, both Floyd and triple g did it.. There is more example that I can't think any at the moment.

Fact is u would be calling it a masterpiece by broner.

Abel says alot of things.

Breh now you just hating on GGG just to be hating now. GGG actually put Lemieux away. Canelo didn't do nothing but have a couple highlight combos but that's it Jr was there to be hit the whole fight. Jr ain't even on Lemieux level. GGG would have got Jr out of there. I can't believe we shytting on boxers for actually getting fighters out of there.

That's what I'm saying, out of all the fights to hate on he hates on that one is bizarre too.. I feel that triple g looked the best he's ever been, his best performance.

We hating on fighters for apparently following a game plan and fighting a smart fight. When the opportunity was open he went for the KO.

If we are hating fighters because they promised fireworks and then disappointed when it didn't happen, we would be hating every fighter.

We should be crediting GGG for showing he is more than just a simplistic power puncher and hating on Lemieux that his game plan was broken by a jab.

And we can't always compare apples to apples. Canelo wants to box, he doesn't naturally want to destroy you. GGG after JCC went into a shell would have beaten him like Kirkland and taken no mercy.

Lends credence to the fact to the rumors that after Kamegai, Cotto will fight Lemieux next.

Also if he ever wanted to do it (not necessary), but a Canelo rematch would be easy.

GGG, his stans, the media before the fight = "It's going to be an all action, exciting, Hagler/Hearns 2 type of fight:krs:"

GGG throws 1918907092979071 jabs in 8 rounds

GGG, his stans, the media after the fight = "Bu-bu-but, GGG has a great jab...it was an exciting fight:mjcry:"
