Wow this really puts DAZN on the map here in America.. Of course the hardcore fans signed up for the trial with Joshua Povetkin but I can see the subscribes skyrocket for Canelos fights

I figured Canelo would do a 1 fight deal to see how that goes and takes the best deal for each fight but 365 Mil is 30 million more that baseballs biggest contract:wow:

He will be done with this contract in 5 years ...at age 33.. Then can get more huge paydays similar to late in mayweathers career:wow:

GGG Lost:russ:
Canelo gonna be making almost 35 mil guaranteed every single fight :wow:.....and that doesn't even include money from ticket sales and Mexico broadcasts:CaneloRejoice:

shyt @canelo's deal. Compare that to other top paid athletes and you'll get how nuts that is. I thought boxing is dead tho:mjlol:.
And Canelo still 28 years old
I expect many more fighters are gonna follow to DAZN after this canelo deal. Canelo paving the way and letting these guys know they can actually get paid what they're worth. Top fighters out here getting paid 2 million for mega fights. Smh. Fighters should be getting paid more than any other athletes. They're putting their lives on the line everytime they get in the ring. Every other fighter prolly looking at these numbers like :ohhh:

How does Broner keep getting these fights

Love him or hate him, his personality is larger than life. He put in enough work at the start of his career to generate buzz...and he has been doing a great job of self promotion even after the losses etc. The networks sure ain't helping anyone.

I think Bud realized that this past week with the weigh in...he realized the buzz the Khabib/McGregor fiasco was generating and it finally clicked for him. Before that he was seen as a great boxer, yet bland personality wise. His stock rose over the weekend based on the weigh in antics and the fight finish (in combination).

It's desperation and a serious gamble. The new subscriptions have been piss poor. DAZN and Perform Group are bleeding money (a little under a quarter billion dollar operating loss combined). The DAZN chairman (Skipper) just came out today and is warning that they may need to raise the monthly subscription price in the near future. There's rumblings that Access Industries are going to sell both off.
