I don't even know anymore...
Being that the organization is unveiling a statue of him outside Miller today, and they're running an hour long special on him here in WI showing the unveiling and celebrating his life, I think it's time for him to be properly celebrated here as well.
In addition to being a borderline Baseball Hall of Famer, he was a big part of the all time great TV series Mr. Belvedere. And who can forget his Academy Award worthy performance as one Harry Doyle in the Major League series?
In all seriousness though, us Brewer fans have been blessed to be able to turn on AM 620 every summer, and hear that iconic voice for...well, it seems like forever. Every year on opening day, the first voice I hear when a new season starts is Uke's. If I'm listening to a Baseball Game, there's only one voice I'd want coming out of my speakers, and it's Uke's. He's getting up there in age, and who knows how much longer he'll be around, but he's still as good as ever in the booth.
