Still not overly impressed by B. Dot as a battle rapper. He had longer rounds & more crowd friendly angles, yet still only left with a debatable. I don't think he'd do all that well on a stage. The voice ain't there, the charisma isn't there, the star quality isn't there. Cherry picking his opponents based on angles? meh. I'm sure he has 3 rounds of Anti-Christianity material already in the stash. That's why he only wants to battle The Saga. "I'm Not Excited" (c) Hollow Da Don

I can't knock B-Dot's hustle though, he used the Danny battle to gain more leverage. Salute to him on that. Stylistically he's moving away from Lux, salute to him on that. He got some people to pay 10 dollars for one battle, salute to him on that.

On the other hand, Danny impressed me A LOT. The start of his 2nd is better than anything B Dot did this battle. I just wish we could get this Danny consistently, how this Danny didn't show up against Swave & Clips is beyond me. It's not just a comfort zone thing, because his material vs B Dot is better than the material he came with vs Swave, Clips, AND Rex for that matter. But whatever, Danny was supposed to get killed here, that didn't happen. In the end he's just a better battle rapper than B. Dot is at this point.

I watched the first round.

For B Dot to do well on a bigger stage, he is going to have to work on clarity. He is also gonna have to rap slower. He's gonna have to change some of the things he is doing to perform in front of an east coast URL crowd.

I think the Saga would beat him clearly on a "perfect day to die" type of stage.

I think it would be more beneficial for B Dot to battle someone like the Saga in a small room & I'm still not convinced he would win.

I can't picture him on any big stage.. Maybe RBE.
Vs Kannon could be dope
Vs Oops if ooops wasn't choking
Vs a ultra street dude for the clash
Vs Bigg K for.. I don't know but that'd be crazy

He's not a big stage rapper

I'm really trying to understand people's point of view on B Dot.

It just gives me more of an appreciation for Lux for making this type of content entertaining.

B Dot is boring the hell out of me. These rounds are long as hell too. I'm just waiting for them to get over with.

I like the Oops match-up alot. I clown dude but Oops has that voice and style where you hang on every word. B dot would have a hard time with a well prepared Oops.

T-Top could be dope too, people forget how Top was smoking fools in that BET small room setting.

yep, he woulda bodied danny if they were having a regular debate about priorities and whatnot

but in a battle, nah, shyt was :russell: most of the time.

Danny hit just as hard in half the time, if that doesn't prove B Dot is just a long winded diet lux clone idk what does

If he goes against someone he doesn't have a ton of angling material for it's gonna get ugly for the kid

I thought I was in the twilight zone here.

This is the first Ddot battle I have watched in its entirety

I put the westcoast shyt to the side. I put the Lux shyt to the side.

I gave Ddot a fair listen. I dont know how anyone can listen to his 10 minutes rounds of black conscious content directed at Danny Myers.

But hey, people like what they like. Still find it odd you have people that prefer him over Lux. Lux has a better rap voice, more clarity, more showmanship, more versatile, etc.

EDIT

I gotta give Saga credit for being entertaining in spurts with his content. However, the Saga is an eastcoast style emcee & sounds like a battle rapper, which has carried him.

I think B Dot is content battling on LA Battle Groundz.

Funny you say that, because I actually thought that's a strength of B-Dot (voice clarity). I agree with the showmanship piece, and I'm neutral on Lux versatility. He's all about assassinating character and real talk these days.. he just does it in (imo) a borderlien cryptic but borderline genius way. Both of them spit LONG ass rounds, so I draw on that (if I'm comparing).

Overall, I see them as clearly different battlers with very similar styles operating in two entirely different arenas.

Lux has battled every one of the other cats who are traditionally labeled as the GOAT so :camby:

Y'all think cats like Danny are out here battling everybody because they WANT to, they're doing it because they HAVE to.

shyt is like a guy saying I played one-on-one against Jordan, Kobe, and LeBron, and someone else coming back like, well, you don't play Ray Allen, Tracy McGrady, Vince Carter, and Paul Pierce day after day like I did. :childplease:

Lux hasn't been allowed to spit longer than his opponent for his last three battles. Has B-Dot even been forced to adhere to a time limit yet?
