Not from a Media standpoint anymore....

as far as the Street Indy scene .....it's getting like the housing market here in the south....it's just saturated and the economy is saturated...

i just got "stopped" at the gas station a few miles from crib by some cat trying to proposition me to invest in his "dream"....

we did work together when i use to get his music pressed and promoted with flyers etc.

i told him i can't do it anymore ....... EVERYBODY IS THIRSTY..

even the SCRIP CLUB DEEJAYS are acting like Funkmaster Flex .....(extortion like prices) ..it's been like that...but it's worst now

everybody wants to be a BOSS

the "boom" is still centered around ATL, but their is not alot of outlets to promote music in the surrounding areas

i.e (southeast georgia, north florida, tennesee, alabama, south carolina) other than the internet

....and with the mixtape spots and flea markets getting raided every other day...

they (RIAA, County Police) hit my brother's spot just 2 years ago...

shyt has been rough

the money is still in booking shows.......that's if you got a loyal following based on recent hits...

everybody holding thier breath for a MAJOR to come thru...need to keep it moving and keep thier day job

and stay off them fukking streets

they robbing and kicking in doors of everybody

during this "drought"

Really??..wow

i grew up watching the F.O.I hold things down for the N.O.I all up the eastern seaboard...shoutout to Carlos X

I think it's a great idea for the fact that we are experiencing WAAAAYY to many "vigilante" acts by these wanna be "zimmerman" guys whom feel disenfranchised since Obama has gotten in office and Right Wing radio has made them feel as if they must arm themselves everywhere they go in preparation for the "Darkies" and "Wetbacks" taking over this country.

Basically "THEY" are paranoid......but the sad thing is that WE as blacks fear the crime element just as much as "THEY" do, but because a good portion are stuck in neighborhoods because of economical disparity, the POLICE have failed in thier duty to PROTECT and SERVE......and treat EVERY BLACK PERSON as if they are a "suspect" and the harrasment and police brutality is just going thru the roof.

it needs to stop!

also maybe this will help dissolve the whole arbitrary "STOP SNITCHING" policy because i think young folk and people in general whom despise the police would be more inclined to speak to an Nation of Islam cat who is in the community and is passionate about suppressing the crime rate as opposed to a cop who is underpaid and bitter about being thier in the first place.

I don't know ..we will see how this pans out..


also thier is a serious ISLAMAPHOBIA out here in america...even on this messageboard...People FEAR anything related to ISLAM, back in the 80's and early 90's farrakhan's people won alot of contracts and bids to do security for various housing develpments and projects......these were usually approved by local governments or private sector property owners whom were seeking a more effective approach to security....

i think in this POST 9/11 era and with the possibility of the Reptilians (Republicans) winning the White House in November that might be rather difficult..

but alot of the NOI cats were reformed felons as well, so i think this will be an added plus, as a testimony to the rehabiliation skills of the NOI but my question is

WILL THEY "BE ARMED" this time??...because usually the FOI/NOI were unarmed when they patrolled the streets and projects.....we are in a different age now where young folks are very shallow and all they care about is GETTING MONEY BY ANY MEANS NECCESARY and RIDING AROUND WITH THEM NINA'S AND CHOPPAS to sustain what money they have obatined.

first of all that would never happen because Suge and Meech were always cool, actually they've always had a better relationship than Diddy.

matter of fact when Meech got sent off to Jesup, Georgia to start his federal incarceration he states how Suge was a frequent visitor...
