All Kyle Flood did was ask about a player's grades? Did he bribe the teacher or something? :what:

PISCATAWAY Rutgers coach Kyle Flood was told by the university's academic support staff not to contact a university professor regarding the academic status of a likely starting defensive player and did so anyway, two university officials told NJ Advance Media.

The university's office of ethics and compliance, with help from outside counsel, is investigating an email Flood allegedly sent from a private account to a Mason Gross faculty member regarding the status of Nadir Barnwell.

The two officials, who requested anonymity because the investigation into whether Flood violated university policy is ongoing, said the inquiry isn't simply about an email sent from Flood's private account.

"It's about Kyle trying to circumvent the process and trying to get the kid eligible,'' one of the university officials told NJ Advance Media.

Flood did not return a phone message left on his cell phone Wednesday morning. Told of these specific allegations through a school spokesman during practice Wednesday, Flood declined comment through that spokesman.

Rich Rod invented the zone read. no exaggeration. man doesnt get enough credit. he is the god father for spread option football.

And Clemson's Woody Dantzler never got the credit he deserved for being the template for that scheme. Tommy Bowden and Rich Rod came from Tulane and Woody was the first QB to pass of 2k and rush or 1k yds in a season. Now it's normal with the era of dual threats but not then. Bowden and Rod called it "the Indy" offense and because teams complained about not being able to get set....they were the reason it's a slight pause before each snap now. A lot of fans wanted Tommy gone and wanted Rich Rod to take over but them idiots gave TB that crazy contract that they just finished paying off 2yrs ago.

Here is a better explanation.

He need to get canned for good :camby:from BR

Rutgers head football coach Kyle Flood has been fined $50,000 and suspended for the Scarlet Knights' next three games, according to a Wednesday report by NJ Advance Media's Keith Sargeant.

Flood's suspension is the disciplinary action decided on by Rutgers' Board of Governors, who met last Friday to discuss the institutional policy Flood violated in reaching out to a professor about the eligibility status of a player.

Junior Scarlet Knights cornerback Nadir Barnwell had allegedly been struggling in the classroom and was in danger of being academically ineligible since May, per Sargeant's report. Barnwell played in 10 games with six starts last season and is a criminal justice major.

The university posted a finalized report of Rutgers' internal investigation on the matter. An email exchange between Flood and the professor showed Flood requesting a grade change for his player.

Colin Becht of SI.com posted a copy of the email in the report:
