Remember how good Tennessee looked on defense last week against Oklahoma. Consider this:

Tennessee will be starting 2 true freshmen at LB (Darrin Kirkland Jr. and Austin Smith) for the rest of the year. In addition we have 3 5-star true freshmen (Shy Tuttle, Kahlil McKenzie, and Kyle Phillips) as the primary backups on the D-line rotation. We are also currently starting 4 sophomores on defense.

It's possible that by midseason, 9 of Tennessee's 11 starters on defense will be true freshmen and sophomores.

We're gonna be really good for a really long time. :banderas:

put mullen at lsu and they are just as successful if not more than miles has been. put miles at mississippi state.. yikes
Mullen absolutely would fail to get the talent to LSU that miles has. Put mullen at LSU and they're Georgia status at best. Put Miles at Miss St and they're South Carolina status.

I agree Miles is a better recruiter but Mullen might be just as good as developing talent. Miles is pretty good at that too besides the QB position
