Figured we needed one of these. You already have the basketball thread etc, so this will be for when you're sitting on your couch at 4am eating cold pizza watching lithuania v denmark in the archery. Because after all that's where the real spirit of the olympics is, watching a sport you don't care about involving 2 rubbish countries. And that's why i'll be sure to catch the USA's basketball games.

I'd post some sort of guide for your viewing times but i don't know where i'd find such a thing as i don't know which of your channels will be showing the games, so if someone could be kind enough.

EDIT: Here's a guide, thanks to reincar

Anyway...this year the games will be held in the greatest city on earth, London. There is no finer choice than London, as it is just for starters, the financial and fashion capital of the world, a truly global city.

Here's a picture of the olympic stadium, it's an artists impression, but i assume they've finished it so it looks something like this...

Here is the velodrome, where GB will dominate in the indoor cycling events...

Here's the aquatic center, with a view also, of the real life olympic stadium...

The first medal up for grabs in the entire games will be in the road race on Saturday morning, where Great Britains Mark Cavendish, the greatest sprinter of all time, is favourite for the Gold.

It's only fitting that someone from England start this thread.

After the Olympics are done with your city, Wham! will have to perform at Wembley Stadium just to keep the soup kitchens open

We're running a budget games mate. None of that "Let's prove to the world we're a great nation by using a bottomless pit of money" thing the chinese were on.

After all, the world already knows we're a top top nation:lawd:

I heard they had to refund a shytload if tickets in the aquatic stadium, as one of the design curves from the roof blocks the view for a load of spectators...Smh.

so those chinese intros wont be matched?

Hellz naw.

We don't have the spare £ for that. But like i said, we don't have to prove shyt :yeshrug:

China did. And they proved it i guess. If what they were trying to prove is they can train thousands of faceless drones, probably violating their human rights in the process, to move in sync, then yeah, China

We're the coolest nation on Earth, throughout history we've made the coolest music, we're the kings of pop culture, i'm sure we can throw something together.:ld:
