Ive felt this way for a long time. I know most wont agree with me and I see your points.

I can see it happening if in the next few years the parity in the offs goes down. otherwise I think its pretty good for what it is. if you have a great record there is extra incentive for you (besides homefield) that gets you a step closer to the bowl and rewards regular season success.

since a single football game is pretty unpredictable, eliminating the bye means even more high seeds are eliminated early.

I could see it happening but when you're having half the league play every post season theres gunna be some subpar ass teams that make it in those 4 extra playoff slots. But more product = more money, so I could see the NFL doing that.

The Jets would live off that "We could get in at 7-9/8-8!?" mentality forever than.

Only way I see them really expanding the playoffs or the season is if they expand the amount of actual teams in the NFL, and that in and of itself is a mountain to climb that takes years upon years to do.

not only that but u have homefield advantage, which is so big in the playoffs

i get it, because ure rewarded for ure regular season work, and it gives more meaning to the regular season games...but i wouldnt be opposed to atleast looking into a different scenarios

then again if it was my team with the homefield, i prob wouldnt be bytching and when my eagles had home playoff championship games, we only got it done once
