As a golfer who has played in a few tours like the Shippen classic and as American who pro us I don't agree.

Realistically if I'm an older PGA guy on tour. That 20 or 30 mill can help me and my grand kiddos. I would take it

Jack Nicklaus is a legit real one standing on bidness and rocking with America/ the PGA.

I don't see golf as being slow or boring. To hell with the casual sports center golf watching fan. I'm just talking about the money. If u didn't watch pre this time you damn sure won't watch after this tourney take place

Outside of Tiger most fans are casual :heh: you and I are fans but this LIV tour will have ratings based off of curiousity . Honestly if Phil didnt make those comments this league would have more big names.

I'm an extreme casual fan and I highly doubt this gets much in terms of ratings. Perhaps initially because of the names like Phil and intrigue, but long-term, this isn't viable, imo. They have no tradition/history and no majors, which is what casuals care about.

A big W for them that the US Open is letting their players play. What they need for long term success is to get a few more under 30 top players like Bryson to join. If they can get any of Morikawa/Hovland/Scheffler/Xander/Cantlay that would be huge. I know they are already offering amateur players top money to join them but any of the guys I listed who are established elite talent will go a long way attracting more talent.

They may not have tradition, but if their players can play the majors, and they can guarantee top salary, the tour will grow and people will watch their events.

BTW, the questions the media was asking the players was :russ:

They were asking them about human rights violations in Saudi, gays getting killed, women not having rights, blood money, how far they would go to play for money, if they were willing to play for Putin if the money was right :dead:

Their faces were :wtf::francis::aicmon::dahell::skip:
