while this study is flawed, it definitely makes a good point.
Notice that racism tends to be highest where White population is the highest? The flyover states with low racism are simply low due to the low number of residents in these places.
The only tangible statment that can be made from this data is that whites become more and more racists when they are amongst one another in large numbers. Truly a scary concept when you think about it.

It shows that folks in those states aren't really thinking about black people because they don't see them on a daily basis. Familiarity breeds contempt, which explains the high number of N-word searches in the Northeast and Southeast.
