Michael Patcher became irrelevant to me once I seen him predict the PS3 would win this Gen. Remember when courtdog was saying the opposite and haters called him a bootleg analyst? 
360 ended up in last place though in sales....

Yes it did.
It has better sales than the 360 and unlike the Wii, the last years of the PS3 have been its best.

No, this is the truth which can be verified via google. Since 2008 industry "experts" have talked about how PS3 would become the world wide leader in sales. The Wii right now has sold 20mil more consoles, and won't sell another 2mil. The Xbox and PS3 haven't even hit budget prices yet. The PS2 sold 120mil systems, but half of those came once the system hit the $129.99 price. One year before the launch of the ps3 basically. Microsoft and Sony both will support the ps360 more than they did the ps2/xbox because of experience mostly. What I just said about the PS2 is WHY. Business savy people get this, gamers for the most part are too stupid to come to this conclusion and fanboyism is the reason (T.S.) so you'll hear the occasional "Microsoft will abandon 360 like they did Xbox. Xbox has been the most profitable system BY FAR this Gen so why would they have ever considered abandoning it? Anyways you can pull up a link from each year with somebody claiming the PS3 overtook Xbox in worldwide sales. But sadly even the fifth time they made the claim it was disproven. This last lie it was discovered Sony has been combining ps2 and ps3 sales over the last 2+years as "PS3 sales"
truth is the Xbox lead grows by the day, not shrink. Xbox is the only console in history to increase it's sales each year (now going into year 8) old record was 4yrs in a row. If Sony can't say the same how can they be catching up? They will only report systems shipped, a practice they invented once it was clear they couldn't catch Xbox (about 5yrs ago they up and stopped reporting it 
) PS3's are not selling because games on PS3 don't sell that well. That's the indicator. Fanboys choose not to read that. Over the next 4yrs a discounted Xbox will overtake the Wii in totl sales
