I was surprised it only scored decently. I remember it being the top game amongst my circle of friends and family at the time.
Me to I specifically remember renting it multiple times. (that was the only way I got to play games back in the day, with no game stores around)
I always got love for shinobi it was part of my childhood and still love def a classic of all time for me.

The difficulty of that game was brutal. I don't remember beating it either.
