When I was in school k-12 I had a good support system with teachers :jawalrus: Every teacher I had besides ONE was great. I used to misbehave he or she would give me pointers as to why I shouldn't do that:mjcry: At first, I didn't listen:sadcam: However, as I matured I changed. Back when I was a kid I was diagnosed with borderline Asperger's. It could have went either way, but my doctor said I would outgrow it :jawalrus: I eventually did :blessed: Anyway, back to the point, evey teacher helped me out and etc. It was ONE teacher who disliked me and it was a Math teacher:scust: This Jamaican lady HATED people asking her questions. Basically, you could tell she was there for the check. She later transferred me to another class where I got the proper assistance.

Point is, most of these teachers today don't care about the youth. I see clips of kids fighting in the class and these teachers DON'T do anything. Trust me, they are setting these kids up to fail. ESPECIALLY, the inner city kids :snoop: There needs to be a MAJOR reform in the educational system. Remember, WE pay these teachers salaries with OUR tax-dollars.

Good manners when you eatin' ya sloppy ja-hoes
Why should they care about anything other than the money

Respect for teachers and their role in society is at an all-time low, and has been down for years

We just had a thread where nikkas was telling stories about messing with teachers during class/having altercations with them.....half the stories didn't even have the teacher doing anything in particular to start the shyt, yet they still got daps and laughs

And the reason why teachers don't normally intervene in classroom fights is because they can get sued, fired, and/or hurt by a student....even for just trying to stop the fight

So, we should have MORE youth who makes the transition from highschool to college suffer? When I got to college I had to start over from scratch. I wasn't really done wrong BTW.

I'm passionate about kids getting a fair shake. I've always wanted to mentor and public speak. Teaching isn't in my immediate plans if at all.

They have to deal with standardized testing and kids with 0 parental boundaries. They have to play parent more than teacher.
Low key I wanna be a teacher just for the vacation time :ohlawd:

they need/deserve to be paid like pro athletes/oil barons/politrickians/etc ad nauseam, and they don't een get a living wage in some of the richest areas of the world..

of course there has to be a passion, but you can't expect them to work miracles in dens of inequity, huge classes,no resources, violence, and you expect them to all be Lean On Me/Dangerous Mind esque:troll:

it will never be fixed under this current OWG regiment,so let it all crumble..

So, you are implying that more kids should suffer? That's what you basically stated.

they're already suffering if they're in the public school system..

so,in that sense why should the 'privileged' kids in private/catholic schools get 2 legs up on them..? just because their mommy/daddy has more resources..? why isn't your tax/lottery money going to fix the public education system..?

i'm not a sadist, but if we have to struggle/suffer anyways why not destroy the current regime that is not going to change..? then rebuild it in a better system built from the bottom up,rather then trickle down/top to bottom..

or should these kids just keep working service/barista/slave jobs in permanent debt forever..?
