They started lettin in dweeby type nggas that wouldn't have gotten so much as a look years ago.:manny: Now these nggas have tainted, poluted, and corrupted the culture.:scusthov: shyt...these types of nggas are runnin the asylum now. Yachty said it himself during the interview.... :manny: He don't give a fuk about the spirit of the music. He's here to influence weirdos nd make bands. A few years ago...he was a suburban ngga in a college dorm room broke nd wit no hoes. Now he makin millions...minglin with cacs nd promotin c00nery.:mjpls: He not invested in this like artists of the past. He cant be invested as much as a Nas, a Hov, LL, Weezy, etc. because he's not from the streets. :manny:
Nd ULTIMATELY...hip-hop is for the streets. He couldn't even relate to the food Buddens was tryin to feed him or understand his angle. Why??...Because he doesn't have a THAT sort of mentality. It was like speakin Chinese to a Mexican person. He lost awhile ago once he said he didn't know BIG? Thats somethin a cac would say. shyt....I dont even fuk wit half these new nggas but bein a fan of the culture...I could still spit a bunch of names off top. :jbhmm: Bout his business??? But didnt know what a 360 was? :hhh: The interview was over by default once he said that. These new nggas are just different man...non-competitive which hip-hop is based off (competition)...nd lost.:francis: Would one of you young-different nggas please explain to me the disconnect you goofys have? :scust:

Why would u blame HOV? :patrice: shyt if anything....I would blame Dame for opening the door to emo nggas like Kanye....which in turn gave birth to Kudis....so on nd so fourth. Which were fine....but now look what it has spiraled into? :scust: I also place blame the South :scust:Once they let Lil John in...everything went downhill from there :scusthov:

Buy the music you want to hear. Bottom. That's the only thing that matters. Even though I think most trap and gangster rap is a ploy by the government, if you want artist to continue to make it, buy it. These weirdo, different colored hair guys are going to continue to pop up because the capital right now supports it.

Edit: After the big numbers by Sean, Drake, Cole, and Kendrick we should see more artist with substance (even though you might not like their records) since streaming and shyt have proven a way to gauge what the people want.

7mile to SE & Uptown!
the problem is simple...most of these cats don't have any talent :yeshrug: I mean Hip Hop has ALWAYS been frowned upon as being limited musically but if you studied the culture you know that the pioneers studied the greats. Hell to be a great guitar player you HAVE to had listened to your pioneers if not only for the inspiration. The pioneers in Hip Hop wanted to better the culture as well as their talents. That's why sampling records became more and more innovative or keyboard producers found better rhythms to compete with their peers. Rhyme patterns and lyrics became more and more innovative. Nowadays all these cats want from Hip Hop is drugs, bytches and MAYBE some money cause with them 360 deals they selling their souls to the machine :martin: the machine puts on the least talented and easy to control cats they can find. None of these new dudes will have careers based over a few years. They living in the NOW...the pioneers in Hip Hop wanted a LEGACY. Unfortunately the Hip Hop that we all grew to love is dead and I don't see it ever coming back :mjcry:

Oh, it's over baby. It's dummy or nerd music now, and the sooner you just accept rap as you want it to be is gone the less frustrating it is.
There are many other types of music to enjoy that don't embrace ignorance and mediocrity, so i've been expanding my horizons and leaving hip-hop behind like my old action figures. There are gems still dropping here and there i can rock with, but for the most part I am done until/if the culture changes

Yatchy knows who Biggie is , you talking out your ass . He just doesn't put him in the same pedestal as 90's nikkas because he was born in fukking 97:mjlol: . Obviously no matter how hard he tries he is not going to be well versed in Biggies music:yeshrug: If anything Joe made himself look bad and shyt dude was being a whole bytch the interview :mjlol:........ It is a sad day in hip hop when we start to take opinions on druggie woman beaters seriously just because you hate that new nikkas are having fun and not taking themselves seriously :mjlol:...... Same mfs who was capping for KRS and AfrikkaBambata last year

Nah, I think younger people are less thirsty for bloody hood tales as a mark for a rapper's authenticity than previous generations.

Get used to artists like Logic, Cole, Kendrick, Gambino, Drake, Yachty, etc being what resonates with gen-z/millennial audiences more due to their relatability.
