I've only been playing with the portable fans and just attaching them to carts and other objects. it's pretty cool. I'm sure it can be much more complex later on as I know in the trailer I saw moving vehicles. It feels like it has a lot more depth because physics are in play so you can't just slap a fan on something with the weight not being distributed equally or else it'll just topple over.
That's crazy it's like they evolved all the physics based stuff and expanded on what people were trying to do in BoTW.

I'm betting we see some insane puzzle and scenarios using this new system. Can't wait.

Finally left the starter islands down to Hyrule. Man if you got a capable PC, playing it emulated right now seems to be better if you're playing at home on PC anyway. That 4K image quality makes it so much more enjoyable since it's crisp and not a blurry mess compared to the Switch version.

It’s cracked and repacked already. :lupe: They said it’sa little glitchy but you can finish the game. Might have wasted $60 since I did vouchers, but now I’m inclined to wait out the fixes

Alright, so I got to try out the leaked version on Steam Deck - ran like absolute trash

The opening scene was really contrived - hey we know you are mighty Link with the master sword and 20 hearts but we are going to have some ganondorf slime grab your arm and conveniently drain you down to 3 hearts, break your master sword, and take away Zelda - start from scratch bytch

I didn't play much longer after that because the frame rate was just too awful - in the open world I was down to like 2 frames per second lmao
Yeah, I just started it up on steam deck last night and it mostly stays in 15 fps. Sometimes even less than that. Surprisingly, it still feels moderately playable nonethless, tho it kinda feels like playing some game from way back in time of when games first hit 3d, lol.

Supposedly there's an update that just came out yesterday that may make it better on deck. Fingers crossed. Also gfx are mostly very rough, which I knew to be expected, but sheesh. This was when playing on my tv with resolution set for 1440P so that it could at least fill up the screen. Indoor graphics aren't too bad tho and the frame rate actually is in the 20s there. Game crashed on me once. Thankfully, the autosave works just fine, so I lost no progress. I only just got the first ability. I'll see how it plays in handheld in a few to see if it looks/feels any better.

Weird thing with the game too is that Link will almost always be walking forward whether I'm actually pressing forward or not. I suppose that it could possibly be a sign of stick drift on my dualsense controller, but it's never done that on any other game I've played yet on deck or playstation, 2d or 3d.

What would you figure would be a capable PC? Any idea how new age chromebooks are with gaming and emulations? Wife just got a really solid one, but I don't know what the specs are.

What type of PC do you currently have and what is the model of that Chromebook? An AMD Ryzen CPU like a Ryzen 5 3600 minimum should be decent for emulation. GPU wise a RTX 2000 series minimum seems like a good candidate for higher resolution emulation.

Edit: Actually I don't think Chromebooks even work for Switch emulation as it's not powerful enough.

I don't have a PC at all. Just a 2016 MacBook. Wife's chromebook is an HP is all I know and that it was released this year. She just got it the other day through her job.

There is a 30fps mod I downloaded that worked ok - it just sped things up really - but with the constant updates to ryujinx, it seems to not work well anymore.

I folded :francis: Work is too slow today, and Jedi don’t have the performance for $70.

V sync had it running at locked 20 fps tho, so I’m probably just gonna play a couple hrs here and there until/unless they get me up to 30. Movement is tied to framerate, so it went on Flash mode without vsync :pachaha:

I also heard an area doesn’t load at all on Ryujinx I’m playing on, where Yuzu can’t complete the game yet, but should probably end up as the best way to play. At least from my understanding. I’m only versed in CEMU yet.

Yuzu had some updates that works and renders that area you're talking about. It seems fine on Yuzu. I'm playing at 30fps with no issues cept some graphical rendering glitches here and there.
My CPU isn't fast enough apparently to play at 60fps with the mod.

Oh okay. If you have a steamdeck you can try that but it may not be that optimal until it releases. Macbook seems like it may be too old for proper emulation.
