Thats whats gonna force you to be creative

brother, you can't offer me freedom of gameplay then "force me to be creative". those things are incongruous

but like I said, hopefully it's a revised durability system or that the "fuse" ability can mitigate it somewhat as seen in the video.

game looks amazing though. this is what gaming should have evolved to. sandbox with so many possibilities - rather than chasing diminishing returns with graphic realism

If weapons didn’t break people would find like two things they really like and use them the whole game. This is like ammo, once you run out you gotta think up a back up. Like damn, I dont have any weapons let me put this log and shovel together real quick like macguyver.

This turns combat into a puzzle almost, i always liked this aspect

Yes and? The game prides itself on its freedom of gameplay. If I want to rock with the same weapon the whole game it should be my prerogative to do so.

A melee weapon and a firearm are different things. You don't generally throw away your guns in a game because you've ran out of ammo :stopitslime:

either way, this conversation has been had ad-nauseam. Some people like the weapon durability aspect, I don't :yeshrug:

Very much still looking forward to this though

I just watched the FFXVI 'worldbuilding' trailer or whatever and was disappointed with that too. What happens when you have so many big games that turn out bad? Very unlikely scenario but interesting to think about.

From what they're saying, you can repair broken weapons somewhat as well. Which would make durability not too bad either. I like the weapon break system, but feel what you're saying a lot as well. Sometimes when I find a weapon I really like, I want to rock with that long term or at least always have it as a back up option n shyt. Outside of picking up duplicates of the same one, that's not too feasible in BOTW, which I wasn't as much a fan of either on either side of that notion. I also hope that more weapons have different feels to them. It feels like in the first game, there were like only 3 weapon types. I'd like that to be tripled and/or have more attack variations per weapon type. I say this, knowing that goof troop ass ninja showing another vid of all that "rah rah" shyt.:mjlol:

IIRC you can repair the weapons before the break that element is a good counter to the weapons breaking.
If they took away weapon breaking that would be even better. No one will complain that their weapon doesn't break. People will still explore different weapons and ways to attack, and it would be even better because people wouldn't have to worry about something breaking

Those tutorials aren't doing shyt to what I'm talking about what I'd like to see more of in the game. See yourself to the door.
Excuse me sir but I'm right at home.
I wasn't even shytting on the game's combat or trying to make it compared to DMC either. I literally said that's not what I expect from it. nikka been smoking too many korok seeds or something tho.
Nah im trolling. DMC a classic. Played all except for 5

shame about weapon durability being back - hopefully it's not too bad - that aside, it looks incredible
Did you not notice that tree branch was about to break, but the durability got refreshed after being merged with a rock? It's like Nintendo has added a "reload" type feature with FUSE
