I see concerns about them keeping durability, the same general overworld and possibly no dungeons. This is all valid, but my biggest concern is performance.

BOTW ran like shyt a lot of the time lol and if this is adding new mechanics, physics and a vertical aspect, I really hope they optimized the engine to run a solid 30 fps at least

I don’t care about dungeons, these old militant zelda fans can kick rocks. BOTW was god because of the exploration. Being stuck in a puzzle heavy, dark dungeon, for hours is lame.

And yeah, i want to play this in stable 60fps, 1080p (at least)

They already confirmed that there will be plenty of old school dungeons. So take that how you will either which way. I'm all fine with them having dungeons, tho at the same time, I didn't bytch about their lack of in the first game and had very little issues with the mini-dungeon format that was the shrines. There will be both in the new game. No idea how many tho, but the main dungeons are said to be pretty mandatory for beating the game.

Yeah I think we'll get a bit more of them than last time but I agree with you and Gizmo, the series has evolved past the dungeons and offers interesting gameplay and puzzles throughout the world

I can tell performance is going to be a issue.
I didn't run into it much with the OG game, but I already know its gonna be a problem.
They really squeezing everything out of the switch with this game.

As for BOTW running like shyt, eh...I really only experienced truly noticeable framerate drops at a very specific point in the hidden forest hub that I can't remember the name of (Kiroku *sp Village maybe?). It was only 30 fps tho. I hope Steam Deck can get it running to 60 or at least 40-45.

I didn’t notice a lot of performance dips either but i was a lot less sensitive to that stuff in 2018 than i am now

I played very recently, as of like a weekend ago at my wife's request to help her beat a guardian level/boss. Aside from the Switch's wack analog sticks and wife's goofy ass inverted control scheme, the game felt fine and running a solid 30 fps the whole time, both handheld and docked. I played for a good hour as well.

Performance and dungeons are my only hang ups. I’m already resigned to performance until they get the emulation on PC right. Dungeons I’ll just have to wait and see.

The durability I only thought was a little too heavy handed, but I appreciated not relying on the same weapons. The combat was good enough. Nothing crazy but I didn’t rely on basic combat primarily anyway. I was always being creative

Game looks almost exactly the same. Impressive upgrades tho. While I get that the new mechanics can make some very interesting combat situations, I still hope there's a bit more to the actual combat attacks itself. Not asking for Devil May Cry style of moveset, but just a lil more tho.
Man are you insane? You can't even do advanced combat! They not finna dumb it down for you like DMC

I can't believe they left the old glitches in the game. They literally changed nothing. All they did was just add on. No wonder the file-size is so big.

Fuse and Ultrahand are game-changing! It literally is glorified DLC but better than DLC because they took our useless inventory and figured out shyt to do with the random junk we were carrying around. Now that's fukking ingenius. They must've been playing Dragon Quest Builders. As soon as they come up with that Fuse and Ultrahand shyt they knew they had to release a sequel.

Recall and Ascend are also cool powers but I'm not as impressed yet.
