What does the WI U game pad do?

I remember someone saying it was created to be Zelda inventory system.

I thought that would be really dope.

It does nothing haha. They say that they thought the game plays better without a second screen.


In the game link even has a tablet type item that he uses to look at maps and shyt lol. It would have worked great imo

my guess is they probably cut the gamepad out so the wii u version wouldnt have anything on the switch version.

My wife found some giants horses and now she can just run over damn near any non guardian, boss, mid boss enemy in the game :baldhuh:

It bucked her off a few times and she fed it apples and carrots and then it stopped :baldhuh:

I aint even know you could feed horses :baldhuh:

I haven't fed my OG horse shyt and its been probably 10 game days :baldhuh:

near hyrule castle i killed 3 walking guardians in a row

once i figured out shrine guardian weapons destroyed their legs in one swipe it was a wrap

on the 2nd one was turned over on its side and couldn't get up. i took all my clothes off, removed weapon, shield and bow and tried to climb on top of it to tea bag but i couldn't climb that surface

the only thing im scared of now is all my weapons breaking after a fight cause what happened after it was all said and done.

it was harrowing finding a shrine to unlock cause i ain't want to make that journey again

You can parry the beams with any type of shield...

This dude is doing it at the beginning of the game with a weak as goblin shield



I am doing it now not even using a shield I am using a cooking pot lid as a shield

The problem is you either do it right and deal half damage...

Or you do it late and it hits your shield and it will evaporate the shield...it does not matter what type or how strong the shield is...it can be a guardian shield you parry and swing to late and miss and it just hits the front of the shield it will evaporate it

Or you parry to early and get hit by the beam and either the beam outright kills you or it hits you and you fall and it just keeps hitting you until you die...

So you either parry and do half damage...parry to late and lose shield...parry to early and die...

Now you CANT parry the beams they do when they spin in a circle and the beam arc keeps going out...you are supposed to use the draft from the beams to fly up and arrow them slow motion in the eye...

I don't know if you can parry the short 3 round laser burst they do when you are up close...that attack is not telegraphed...I tried twice today but I was very late so I got hit both times...

I can't even imagine fighting those level 5 guardians without parrying lasers ...they have 3000 hit points...my rake and travelers sword surely won't last that long

just want to add, you can't outrun his laser the closer get. better have them arrows ready. even regular arrows to its eye will buy you time enough to melee strike

use your rune bombs after his legs get cut off to conserve your other stuff

Man. Imagine if they did a GTA-like multiplayer mode. Where each lobby has like 16 players (the world in this game is super large so I understand not being able to have alot of players). You're chilling on the mountain top and some a$$hole shoots you with a fire arrow from the distance.

Instead of GTA heists you'd have multiplayer shrines where you have to work as a team to solve the puzzles.

Does that work on the flying Guardians?

Use Lightning arrows and the dodge flurry. They make you get 20 lightning arrows and for the beginning paty you only had to use 4. Somebody also told me you can use the water rune to stop the ice blocks at the beginning and during the boss fight but I never tested it.
