Never doubt the goat. Him performing songs from his new classic was the perfect move. He had no reason to perform already known hit songs, he aint the one following SB rules, he's the one making new rules.

Been saying kendrick is a smart nikka, knows this business just as good as Jay, he knows exactly what to do, what to perform and when:ehh:

Legendary performance by the way :salute:

Didn’t listen but there’s a clear bias against Kendrick from a lot of New Yorkers

Noticed it years ago
Now that you mention it, outside of Cube, 2000’s Lil Wayne and Kanye, I can’t recall them embracing that many rappers outside NY.
Someone correct me if I’m wrong:patrice:

There has always been a rivalry between the west and the east
Yeah but it’s more specifically NYC v West. Kendrick has plenty of fans on the East coast

I remember going to summer jam years ago and people sitting down during Kendrick set except for records like Alright, Backstreet Freestyle, New Freezer, etc.

Drake is very popular in NYC on the other hand

Jeezy, Ross, TI, Future, Migos( around culture I), Young Thug, Waka (technically he’s from NY) off the top of my head were def embraced by NY and the rest of the northeast
