Watching some old episodes of The Office and every time Jim and Pam start doing something the episode just dies. They slow down all the comedy and make everything about them...I like Jim as a character (especially when he was getting sonned by Idris Elba :russ: ) but his interactions with Pam are just cheesy. Things were better when Roy was in the picture.

If a love plot in the show was absolutely necessary, then Dwight and Angela>>>>>

Couldn't agree more. I finally stopped watching the show regularly when Pam gave up her lifelong dream of being an artist, even though she was getting an unheard of free ride at art school from her job, because she missed Jim and couldn't work Adobe software. :comeon:

They were good in the beginning when it was all sneaky flirting, but once they got together it was a downhill slide until every scene they were in was :trash:.

Noooo...I loved Jim and Pam. They're one of my favorite TV couples.

I'll agree that their relationship lost some of the comedy as time went on, but I don't think that was a bad thing. Esp since you had other relationship hijinks from the other people, it was nice to have a stable couple.

I loved the way Jim loved Pam. Even after they had their issues in the final season, I loved how they found their way back to each other. It was good to see them grow together.

Side note: I HATED Charles Miner (partially b/c he was so mean to Jim) but "Broke" is one of my favorite episodes of the season. The way Jim and Michael finally got the upper hand over Charles? Brilliant.

Now I want to go watch The Office again.

I need to finish this show. I watched/own the first four seasons and, while I know it goes downhill quality wise, I want to see how it ends.

Michael leaving is what ruined the office, after he left the show had its moments but it was never the same

If we being real here, Michael Scott was the main protagonist

I think season in 2 and 3 the relationship was a way to keep the plot moving. It wouldve been more interesting if pam actually married roy and jim got with that chick from season 3. It might've gotten annoying with all the flirting, but at least they would still been relavent past season 4 instead of the boring couple they became.
