So how did he beat cancer.

the truth is, all disease that are said to be fatal isnt the case every time.

perhaps he still has it. perhaps his body rejected it some how. perhaps he never had it and its a lie. either way dude is old as dirt but yet moving and shaking like he's 40. that alone is enough to look into it deeper.

the real question is can to much knowledge without wisdom hurt? the answer in this article is YES.

you have all this new tech, all these new luxuries because of this new tech. yet you cant live as long as these island folk. sure dont go to an extreme where you have zero tech. but its the tech knowledge without wisdom that hurts us.

For people to adopt a healthful lifestyle, I have become convinced, they need to live in an ecosystem, so to speak, that makes it possible. As soon as you take culture, belonging, purpose or religion out of the picture, the foundation for long healthy lives collapses. The power of such an environment lies in the mutually reinforcing relationships among lots of small nudges and default choices. There’s no silver bullet to keep death and the diseases of old age at bay. If there’s anything close to a secret, it’s silver buckshot.

And people wonder why the hood stay fukked up. If everybody around you eating fried chicken and soda it makes it a lot harder to be eating vegetables. American lifestyle is not conducive to a long life because it's stressful and unhealthy. Even when you eat 'right' you are still consuming mass produced products that are most likely loaded with pesticides.

Seeking to learn more about the island’s reputation for long-lived residents, I called on Dr. Ilias Leriadis, one of Ikaria’s few physicians, in 2009. On an outdoor patio at his weekend house, he set a table with Kalamata olives, hummus, heavy Ikarian bread and wine. “People stay up late here,” Leriadis said. “We wake up late and always take naps. I don’t even open my office until 11 a.m. because no one comes before then.” He took a sip of his wine. “Have you noticed that no one wears a watch here? No clock is working correctly. When you invite someone to lunch, they might come at 10 a.m. or 6 p.m. We simply don’t care about the clock here.”

I always knew waking up early was a killer. I feel like I'm taking hours off my life every time I have to force myself to get out of bed before 10am and run on like 5 hrs of sleep.
