da fukk do people in IT do...
Depends on your position. Low-level workers actually apply hard technical knowledge and skills. Develop software and hardware solutions. Fix software and hardware solutions. Test software and hardware solutions. Write technical documentation. Learn how to fix problems. As you go higher, you start taking on leadership roles. Then, as you get even higher, you take on a managerial role. This is when you start losing technical skills.
There are some upper-level roles where you don't even use your hard technical skills anymore, and just use your knowledge and research out new stuff. You can talk at a high-level, and you manage managers and resources.

I'd like to see how they came up with that one though.

It is not for fools,

I have seen so many quit this company in days after getting the job.
Either you like talking with a machine for 8-10 hrs a day or you don't

i gotta say though its engineers that really innovate the world man. I hate to say that as a business finance student but its true. The mba types just organize the businesses and usually stifle the creativity of engineers

Thats why a company like Google who said fukk a business plan fukk a marketing plan let the engineers do what they do and focus on our ideals can change the world

I'm a little jelly not gonna lie, i definitely feel i'm intelligent enough to have excelled in a field like that but never even considered it and wasn't focused when i was younger ah well at least i'll know how to deal and manage money

but kudos on the whole making the world a better place engineers my field will never really be respected like that.
