This is a pretty good YT channel for understanding our predicament as a species from a bigger picture. His content touches on issues of ecology, energy, climate change, economic etc. His overall position is that human civilization is solely dependent on the way we use energy. The majority of humans are "energy blind" and don't realize how much of our current civilization is predicated on the discovery and usage of fossil fuels. Unfortunately our reckless usage of this fuel source and the limitless growth framework we've adopted as an economic principle will cause a massive collapse in the not too far future.
