Probably one of my all-time favorite bands. Their impact is well documented. I'm sure you all have seen a V-dub beetle with one of these stickers on it. 
Then you have Ben & Jerry's ice cream naming an ice cream after the lead singer Jerry.
I fell into from a classmate who kept referencing his weekends as "long strange trips". Then one day Bill Walton's short lived reality show came on ESPN and the song used for the intro was "truckin" which is an epic 5 minute song about the experiences they have traveling the country. It also is accurately depicts the realization of the Hippy movement and the kind of aimlessness of it all.
The entire album is amazing. I would post individual songs but you guys really need to listen to this album straight through. I see that Dark Side of the Moon was posted so I figured you guys would appreciate this as well.
