Honestly, I don't see a better actor than him embodying the role. They were dumb to scrap him because unless they brought Christopher Reeves back from the dead, I was tapped out.

I hope they do because I liked Cavill's Superman and hopefully he gets to flesh the character out more with a new writer and a director.

Even though Superman Returns just wasn’t that great of a movie, I always thought Routhe was great as Clark/Superman.
Which with MOS I felt the opposite, thought the movie was pretty good but didn’t really like the portrayal of Clark/Superman from there and going forward.
Now that’s not to say I’m doing the coli extreme thing of saying he was trash and shouldn’t be SM.
No, Cavil is fine and the potential is there, but I’m just not a big fan the direction the writers chose to push that character
Regardless of how you feel about the movies this man is the best superman we've had in ages he is superman like it or not.
I would have also went for tom welling on the big screen but rarely does that happen and I never got to see brandon as superman so I can't speak on that.

Lol, word, I didn't even check the source. I can dig it with Routhe. I was feeling Cavill more because he brought a seriousness and a swag of intimidation unlike the others. Reeves was a mixture of Routhes goofiness and Cavills seriousness.
Tom Welling did a great job. At the time, I just wasn't feeling a grounded superman origins story. My favorite of the series was Lois and Clark.
