Evoking the stylish period atmosphere and subversive espionage thrills of "Tinker Tailor Solider Spy," the new trailer for BBC America's 1970s-set "The Game" is chock full of intriguing, edge-of-your-seat drama. The thrilling six-part series, created and written by Toby Whitehouse of "Doctor Who" and "Being Human" fame, will premiere Wednesday, November 5 at 10pm as part of BBC America's "Dramaville."

Starring the great Brian Cox as British MI5 leader Daddy, "The Game" revolves around a secret committee of intelligence officers who are assembled to investigate a KGB attack threatening Britain and the world. When the enigmatic Joe Lambe (Tom Hughes, "Dancing on the Edge") is contacted by a defected KGB officer (Marcel Lures, "Pirates of the Caribbean") with details about the Soviet scheme, the MI5 spies must race against time to track down dangerous waking sleeper cells across the UK. With tons of '70s-era political conspiracies and paranoia, expect "The Game" to be a thriller worth checking out.

The drama series also stars Paul Ritter, Victoria Hamilton, Shaun Dooley and Chloe Pirrie. Watch the new trailer below.

Bump...

I just watched all 6 episodes of this show....I really liked it. Like some of the other BBC shows, it's just different from what we see on TV here in the states.

If you're a fan of BBC TV, then you should definitely check this out...all 6 eps are available to stream...

BBC need to stop titling their miniseries with the same names as flicks from the 90s. Saw this on the schedule list and assumed it was the one with Douglas/penn
