So I'm looking at this Shane Douglas shoot right now and it made me realize that this dude really is the Pastor Troy of wrestling in more ways than one. Think about it, he was one of the first dudes if not the only dude that was anti establishment which birthed a lot of gimmicks with the whole "fukk the mainstream" type of mentality. Also a couple of other things:

  • Had beef with a well known wrestler (Flair)/Had beef with a well known rapper (Master P)
  • Spoke from the heart
  • The Triple Threat (DSGB)
  • Peaked in the early origins of the ATL movement (Peaked at the early origins of the hardcore wrestling movement)
  • Left the WWF to go back to the Indies(got dropped from Universal and went back to the underground)
  • Fell off going to the mainstream *WCW and WWF* (Fell off going to Universal)
  • The NWA Promo 1994= I Declare War album
  • Forgotten in the wrestling/hip hop world and never will receive the cred they both deserved
Bottom line, both dudes contributed a lot but never got their due because of other competitors and their own vices that sabotage their own success.
