It's a good question, the president chooses him and it's usually one from a party who have significant majority which nobody has right now.but who will be the next PM?

NFP "won" but really nobody really did. Final results are :
- NFP alliance : 182 seats
- Macron coalition : 168 seats
- RN and Republicans dissidents : 143 seats
- Republicans : 46 seats
- Others : 38 seats
There are numerous issues :
First, it's the first time this situation happens. Usually we have the party of the president with absolute majority or we have an opposition party with it (which is called a cohabitation).
Second, NFP is an alliance of many parties (LFI makes like 40%, Socialists 33%, Greens 15% and other are Communists).
Socialists and LFI agreed to a common program but they don't really like each other (they are kinda like American progressives vs liberals thing). Greens' ideology are in between the two.
Third, when it comes to parties, RN has 126 seats and Macron's party has 98 so technically, as parties, both are bigger than LFI in the parliament.
Last, there were talks about a German style coalition. Some kinda broad alliance that goes from the center-left to conservatives that would total to around 270 people. With Greens, they would go over 289 that is the threshold of absolute majority.
Next parliament session is next tuesday so there's 10 days for Macron to figure it out.
Your beef with son for just posting what he sees is one of the strangest things on this board.Let it go fam you keep denying the election results and the trends that’s telling you what’s about to happen..
I ain’t got no beef with @FAH1223 …. As for all that other shyt you yapping I ain’t read itYour beef with son for just posting what he sees is one of the strangest things on this board.
The only trend anyone can draw is that the idea of a right wing nut coming to power has driven people
who would’ve otherwise stayed home to the polls. That’s what happened in 2020 in the US. That’s what polls are struggling to capture - the irregular or unlikely voter. In other words, Democrats just need to organize their asses off.
There’s nothing else that can be drawn from those two very different systems. The Labour Party in the UK won a slim plurality based on it being a multiparty first past the post system. That’s closer to Clinton in 92. The French election is the equivalent of Sanders and Warren voters putting beef aside and ensuring one of them ”won” the primary as a plurality. There’s no time to be drawing unhelpful comparisons- simply organize people and get them to the polls.
