So he got shot after driving forward on the cop who had is gun on him? Was he actually driving recklessly prior to this? It's horrible that he died but this doesn't seem very rational...
Not everything is out yet but wht is being said is, allegedly obviously :
- Nahel was driving recklessly (speeding in bus lanes)
- the 2 motocops noticed and started to chase
- the chase was possibly dangerous (ran red lights)
- then they encountered traffic which forced the stop
(video starts some moments after that, some witness say that he was roughed and/or pistol whipped by the cops just as the video starts)
- then the cop on the left threatened that he will put a bullet in his head if he keeps at it
- the car goes forward
- the shot happens
The car going forward possibly has two reasons :
- either he started to flee once he noticed that there was space in traffic to do so
- or his foot got off the brake pedal and the car being an automatic started to advance
There was a mistake from the cop whot shot him as he was partially on the hood of the car which is not something that is advised by training. Maybe he couldnt do otherwise, maybe he did so to put himself in harm's way, maybe he didnt realize. At this point, we don't know.
