I LIVE IN A CARDBOARD BOX!
Don't forget the brief period where they teamed up to help Foley beat the Rock for the title.

I just watched the HHH/Cactus Jack street fight the other day so it's kind of ironic that this was brought up. I know a lot of people will say that the TLC match at Mania 2000 was MOTY, but for my money, it was the street fight at the Rumble. I also loved the storyline building up to it. HHH and Stephanie were drunk with power and making everyone on the roster miserable. They even cost Foley his job in a pink slip on a pole match. So after HHH squeaked out another win on RAW, Foley snapped, and became Cactus Jack yet again. He pulled out all of the stops in the Rumble, but HHH still mustered out the strength to carry, and once again, he managed to squeak out the victory. It was very reminiscent of Dreamer/Raven. That match made HHH a main event player after that.

Of course, we all know that the feud continued into the next few months with Foley's full time career coming to an end and he subsequently returned four weeks later (:snoop:) because Vince really wanted to put Foley in the Wrestlemania main event, and felt he deserved it, even though Foley said that it never really bothered him that he was not in the last match at Mania.

Oh come on, people talked about it to death for 10 years. Of course it doesn't get much discussion nowadays because neither are relevant performers anymore - nor crossover stars like Austin and Rock - but for a long ass time that feud got all the praise in the world, and it was well deserved.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news here but this feud popped off after your boy went to WCW. The only PPV match Russo was there for was the Summerslam Triple Threat one.

After he left the WWF, all the storylines he created were carried on, the reason the ratings didn’t fall off immediately after he left. 2000 was his backwash

A good feud has actual back and forth. Trading of wins, etc.

Don't get me wrong, that one "program" had more to do with HHH's rise to prominence than anything he ever did, but Foley never actually won a match. To me, that keeps it from being an all-timer.

If I think back for genuinely memorable HHH feuds, this is pretty much the only one I come up with. Defined "The Game" from then on.

Trips’ feud with the Rock aint up there for him? :patrice:

I’ve been TSC’d up since ‘11 and I never really seen it mentioned here.

Based on your definition of a good feud, what does that make Austin/Rock? :usure:
