The finest line art you've ever seen in any format?

I'll admit, I'm new to comics/manga. But after being exposed to hundreds of volumes of black and white line art, I've developed a craving for it.

Problem is, I don't have much experience and don't know where to look.

a lot of MC Escher stuff is actually a woodcut print
