You know what it is imo one of the greatest comic book flicks of all time, pretty dark for a kids flick but just dark enough to the point they cant enjoy it with their parents. The score was on point so was the cinematography as well as the fight scenes.

as a 5 year old seeing the poster for TMNT and seeing the turtles "in real life" for the first time was like pure magic!

I absolutely loved turtles as a kid. for my kindergarten graduation i had us wear turtle shells and sing "go ninja go ninja go".

I have pictures in a ninja turtle head all throughout childhood and had the plush toys as well.

but man these movies are hard to sit through as an adult.

I've gotta go No as much as it pains me.

Classic indeed. Yes.

This was huge as a kid but even watching this flick now is still cool. Something about this flick, they did a good job keeping it sort of grimey and not too kid friendly which I love. I don't even remember the sequels, part 2 a little bit but part 1 is still memorable.

I've watched this with my son several times. It's still greatness. With the use of those animatronic heads the turtles don't look dated and the direction they went with the humor and grit in this one holds up a lot better with age than the goofiness they went with in the sequels. Undeniable classic in my book.
