Because Kobe actually had a shot at eclipsing Jordan (that's an argument for another day), dude has been vilified since he was a youngin out of sheer hate and insecurity.

Instead of people just appreciating Kobe for what he is, one of the best players to ever walk the court, nikkas devalue his accomplishments because looking at them objectively makes Jordan's luster dim a little.

Magic, Bird, Hakeem, Nique, Zeke, KG, Duncan, Shaq, Kareem, Bron, Wade, Durant, Rose, T-Mac, Penny, Grant, AI...
