The former Game Director who left last year recently gave in-depth interview on bunch of different topics. Basically EA only cares about "back of the box features" and what they can sell that year, not long term. It's why Longshot was made, he didn't want to focus on that but they made him anyways so they have something to sell. He also suggested that they take a year off and focus on legacy issues and fixing the game, they told him no. He was told in 2016 to "Dumb the game down" because it was becoming too complex 
which made him rethink working for them. EA is really the WOAT company

. Also, let’s not act like 2K would be great with an exclusive license. Look at NBA 2K. They went and turned it into an MMORPG built around nonstop product placement, microtransactions, and RNG lootboxes with the same ultimate team mode while neglecting gameplay, player model accuracy, and especially the AI in the game, not to mention all the missing players from their classic teams in the game.
Nba 2K is leap years above any sports game out. 2k has more content than any game out not just sports.Twice voted worst company in America
