Was it always :trash: and :flabbynsick:?Even for a movie that came in 1998.... I'm watching it and the graphics got me like :scusthov:. The storyline is cheesy as fukk its got all the Tommy Hilfiger model/actresses of the late 90's and Elijah Wood plus the bad guy from Terminator II and Jean Grey from X-Men. Not only are the graphics shyt but the make up was ass too. I know its supposed to be a modernized Invasion of the Body Snatchers but :comeon: they coulda done better. Matter fact, i ask that this is the next viewing movie for the Coli Movie Club.

Film was pure piff. The Zeke top 5 white boy to ever grace the silver screen; how many characters could pull of being high school jock, loner, stoner, rebel without a cause, dealer, chemistry nerd and hero in the same fukking film:blessed: . His side huslte was inspiring, swag pulled a teacher and had the house/fine ass muscle whip to hiself cuz his parents were always in europe or some shyt:salute:. breh. Its the breakfast club meets The Thing :wow:

:yeshrug: I watched it for the 1st time ever almost a couple years ago. I enjoyed it. If I start a Blu-ray collection of late 90's/early 00's Teen movies, I'd definitely cop the movie.

I didn't like it when I first saw it but I watched it recently and enjoyed it more. It's another great invasion of the body snatchers riff and high school is a great place for that story. It works for me. The idea of losing yourself and being told to fall in line and be like everyone else is normally what high school movies are about more or less and this takes it to another level by including the body snatcher trope.

So you like it because it has a conform or die kinda plot?

Yeah. In general I'm a fan of the invasion of the body snatchers and I like taking that conceit and applying it to something new..in the original it was communism and McCarthy-ism, the one in the 70s tackled conformity to believing whatever lies the country was telling us at the time during Vietnam, Watergate, etc., the one in the 90s dealt with the military and I haven't seen the 07 version to comment on it. I do think the "cheapness" of it tho is definitely a sign of the times and a sign of Robert Rodriguez. You know he likes to do things on the cheap and keep his budget as small as possible

It was on Netflix I guess they just took it off. And yeah Planet Terror is awesome. So is From Dusk Till Dawn and Desperado. He was supposed to direct Zorro back in 98 but he passed for reasons I can't remember. I'd love to see his Zorro movie
