What if they have long hair, but want a short hairstyle? Better to get a weave to get the short style instead of cutting your hair if you aren't ready for that type of commitment.

Yeah, bruh...in the western world we have a European standard of beauty that has been force fed into our collective consciousness for centuries, not an african standard. You aint really sayin sht. If nikkas really wanted to take a stand, we would stop dating women with weaves, idealizing and celebrating natural hair and an african inspired aesthetic. If we do that, our women would definitely follow suit.

Funny thing is, on a *general level* i think African women are more beautiful than black women in America.
I'm not gonna ever frown on a black woman for having straight hair, but I find the natural hairstyles to be just as beautiful.
